Privacy Policy – Smart Interest Calculator

This Privacy Policy explains how Smart Interest Calculator ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. The app is a financial calculator and reminder tool. We designed it to keep your data private: the calculations and reminders you create are stored only on your own device. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

Request Data Deletion. Most data created in Smart Interest Calculator — your calculations, saved items, and reminders — lives only on your device. Delete it any time from within the app, or remove all of it at once by uninstalling the app; no request to us is needed. To request deletion of the subscription/purchase data held on our behalf by RevenueCat (see Section 05), email contact@nagalakshmanchirukuri.fyi with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and the email address or purchase date associated with your subscription. We will ask RevenueCat to delete your purchase and subscription records within 30 days, except where the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or applicable law requires that certain records be retained longer for tax, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes.

Section 01

Information We Collect

Data stored only on your device. The information you enter into the app stays on your device and is not transmitted to us or to any server. This includes:

Calculations: The values you enter and the results generated by the interest, SIP, GST, and credit-card payoff calculators, including any saved calculation history.
Payment reminders: Details you create for recurring payment reminders — such as the reminder name or label, amount, an optional description, the schedule/frequency, and your chosen reminder time. This data is saved locally on your device so your reminders persist between sessions.

You can delete this data at any time by removing the relevant entries inside the app, or by uninstalling the app.

Data collected through advertising. The app displays ads using Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect the following from your device:

Device information: Device type, operating system version, and advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA).
Advertising & usage data: Approximate (country/region-level) location, ad interaction data such as impressions and clicks, and limited technical data used to serve and measure advertisements.

Data collected for subscription purchases. The app offers an optional ad-free subscription. Purchases are billed by the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and we use RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to validate your purchase and activate your entitlement. RevenueCat receives:

An anonymous app user identifier: A random ID generated for your installation, not linked to your name or email address.
Purchase & subscription data: The product purchased, purchase date, price, renewal status, and transaction receipts, used to verify and activate your ad-free entitlement.
Device & network information: Device identifiers and IP address, used by RevenueCat for fraud prevention and to determine applicable taxes.

We do not collect your name, email address, financial account details, or any personally identifying financial information, and we do not operate any servers that receive your calculations or reminders. RevenueCat does not receive your payment card details — those are handled entirely by the app store you purchased through.

Section 02

How We Use Information

The information described above is used to:

Perform calculations and store your saved calculations and reminders locally on your device.
Schedule and deliver the payment reminder notifications you set up.
Display advertisements through Google AdMob (personalized or non-personalized, depending on your consent).
Verify and activate your ad-free subscription entitlement through RevenueCat.
Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.

We do not use analytics SDKs, and the app does not track which features you use or send your usage behaviour to us.

Section 03

Notifications & Reminders

On-Device Feature

The app can send local notifications to remind you of recurring payments you have set up. These reminders are generated and scheduled entirely on your device — their content is not sent to us or any third party.

Notifications require your permission, which you grant when prompted or through your device settings. You can disable reminders at any time by deleting the reminder in the app or by turning off notifications for the app in your device settings. On Android, the app uses scheduled alarms so reminders can fire at the time you choose, including after your device restarts.

Google AdMob & Third-Party Advertising

AdMob Disclosure

This app uses Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data from your device to serve relevant ads. This includes:

Device identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID, Apple IDFA)
General location (country/region level)
Ad engagement metrics (impressions, clicks)

Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads: Where required by law (such as in the European Economic Area and the UK), we display a consent prompt before serving personalized advertisements. On iOS, we also use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework to ask for your permission before tracking. You may opt out of personalized ads at any time through your device settings:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable per-app tracking

Subscriptions & RevenueCat

Subscription Disclosure

The App offers an optional ad-free subscription (Monthly or Yearly). Purchases are billed and processed by the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and we use RevenueCat to validate purchase receipts and manage your subscription entitlement across your devices.

RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier, purchase and subscription details, and limited device/network information as described in Section 01. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, or payment card details — those are handled entirely by the app store you purchased through.

Section 06

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

Google AdMob (Google LLC) – for advertising purposes as described above.
RevenueCat – to validate and manage your ad-free subscription, as described in Section 05.
Legal authorities – if required by law, court order, or government regulation.

We do not share the calculations or reminders you create, because that information never leaves your device.

Section 07

Data Retention

The calculations and reminders you create are retained on your device until you delete them within the app or uninstall the app. We do not retain copies on our side, because we do not receive them. Advertising-related data collected by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention policies. Subscription and purchase data processed by RevenueCat is retained according to RevenueCat's own retention policies and applicable app store requirements.

Section 08

Children's Privacy

The Smart Interest Calculator app is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly address it.

Section 09

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access & Deletion: The data you create in the app is stored on your device and is fully under your control — you can view it in the app and delete it at any time, or remove all of it by uninstalling the app.
Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time (see Section 04).
Advertising data requests: For data collected by Google AdMob, you may exercise rights through Google's privacy controls and policies.
Subscription data requests: For data processed by RevenueCat, you may contact us or refer to RevenueCat's own privacy policy for their data subject request process.

Section 10

Security

Because the calculations and reminders you create are stored only on your device, they are protected by your device's own security. Any advertising data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections managed by Google. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Section 11

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
